The HealthierFeds Physical Activity Challenge is a fun and easy way to make daily exercise a part of your routine. The 2007 Challenge among Federal agencies is over, but individuals and groups can continue to use the Challenge tools, and new participants can join any time.
Register at http://healthierfeds.presidentschallenge.org and get moving! Join The Challenge to get started, stay active or to motivate others. The Challenge provides a no-cost activity log you can use to track your activities.
Participate in over 100 physical activities ranging from housework and walking to athletic and recreational endeavors log and log your activity once you complete it. Adults are encouraged to participate in a minimum of 30 minutes a day, and children are encouraged to participate in at least 60 minutes a day. The Challenge offers something for everyone;
All members of the "Federal Family" which includes current employees and retirees of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches and their families, are invited to sign up.
By establishing a regular habit of physical activity among participants, The Challenge will help create a foundation for long-term behavior change. The facts show that increasing physical activity can improve health and overall well-being.
